Community Service Project Requests

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Nebraska Arborists Association (NAA) on a community service project! Our service projects bring arborists, communities, and organizations together to promote tree conservation, education, and environmental stewardship across Nebraska. NAA partners with Nebraska communities on tree-care service projects. Our certified arborists volunteer their time and expertise to promote tree conservation, education, and good arboriculture.

Our Purpose

Each NAA service project supports our mission and aligns with Article II of the NAA bylaws. We strive to:

1. Promote tree conservation and proper arboriculture practices.

2. Encourage education and professionalism in the green industry.

3. Foster community engagement and environmental awareness.

Who can apply
Cities and towns, schools, nonprofits, parks, and other public or community organizations in Nebraska. Projects should be on public or community property.

Types of projects

• Tree planting

• Pruning for safety

• Dead or hazard tree work in public spaces

• Invasive species removal

• Storm cleanup

• Tree education and youth workshops

How projects are chosen
The NAA Service Project Committee reviews each request based on:

1. Community benefit. Meaningful service for Nebraska communities.

2. Member involvement. Opportunities for NAA members to volunteer.

3. Public awareness. Sharing good tree care and NAA's mission.

What to expect

• The request takes about 5 minutes.

• The committee reviews requests after the deadline and will respond within 60 days.
